Young ladies for centuries past have taken a special delight in learning to sew and quilt at their mothers side. Not only do girls find it fun to make things for their dolls or gifts for others, but they also have the joy of serving their family with these skills. Many girls from the 1800s to the present have learned to sew and quilt while making a doll-sized 9-patch quilt. The basic skills learned in making this little quilt are then gradually applied to other larger and more detailed projects for use in the home.

Using modern quick-piecing techniques, a sewing machine to piece the quilt top, and traditional hand quilting, you can create your own doll quilt with an old-fashioned look! Make this quilt for your favorite dolly or as a special gift for a younger sister. Kit includes fabric, batting, quilting needle, and step-by-step instructions. Finished size is approximately 18 x 23.
